With a cable TV subscription to DIRECTV, you can use the free Parental Controls feature to block:
- Entire channels regardless of programming
- Channels at specific times of the day
- Television shows and movies based on ratings
- Movies based on title
You can also set a money limit for Pay Per View purchases. Parental Controls block out entire channels or movies. With Parental Controls activated, you cannot filter out scenes or dialog but it doesn’t work on DVDs or VHS videos.
A subscription to DIRECTV comes with a User Guide for cable features and Parental Controls.
You can contact them by telephone and email with technical support questions.
